Our Mission

In collaboration with other women and men who share God's Dream for the world, we try to respond to the call of the Christian Gospel to reach out with compassion to those who experience poverty and loss of respect for their dignity as human persons.

While still involved in our traditional ministries of education and healthcare, we are open and responsive to the many concerns in our world today:

  • The hunger for God and meaning in the world
  • Justice and peace issues
  • The plight of migrants and refugees
  • Inter-faith dialogue
  • The empowerment of women and children
  • HIV/AIDS
  • The exploitation and endangerment of the Earth
  • Poverty in all its forms

Inspired by our Founders we desire to stand in solidarity with all people who are oppressed or alienated by unjust systems.

Jesus came to set people free from all that oppressed them and as a Congregation we seek

"To continue and make present again in concrete, specific time and place this liberating mission of Christ"
